Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

 The editor of GLOBAL Journal welcomes article submissions in accordance with the following guidelines:

  1. Articles have not been published or accepted for publication, or are being considered for publication elsewhere. In addition to the manuscript, a written statement should be attached which clarifies that the article is original and does not contain any elements of plagiarism.

  2. Types of articles suitable for publication include the following: research reports (laboratory, field, archives), conceptual ideas, studies, theory applications.

  3. Articles are written in English or Indonesian using academic language along with standard academic writing structure and composition. Manuscripts are typed 1,5 spaced in a quarto paper size (A4), between 6000-8000 words in length including references, pictures, and tables. Papers that greatly exceed this will be critically reviewed with respect to length.

  4. Articles should be in form of essay which includes:

    • Do not write author’s name in any part of the article (GLOBAL applies double-blind review in the review process),

    • Title (max. 15 words),

    • Abstract (150-200 words for each) which includes research problems, methods, and results.

    • Keywords (5-7 words),

    • Introduction (without subsection, 1-2 pages) which includes background, objectives, and questions of the research.

    • Literature reviews/theoretical construct of the research.

    • Method (briefly discusses research setting, participants, data collection and analysis (as necessary).

    • Discussion (consists of result of the study and discussion/implication).

    • Conclusion (is a brief summary of findings and discussion. It is strongly recommended to avoid mere repetitive statements from the previous sections).

    • References.

  5. Reference list format is based on APA (American Psychological Association) style 6th edition. The reference list should appear at the end of the article and includes only literature actually cited in the manuscripts. References are ordered alphabetically and chronologically. We strongly recomend authors to use reference tools, such as Mendeley, Zotero, Endnote, etc. Herewith are some of the APA-based references format structure:

    • Printed book: Author, A.A. (Year of Publication). Title of work. Publisher City, State: Publisher.

    • Online book: Author, A.A. (Year of Publication). Title of work [E-Reader Version]. Retrieved fromhttp://xxxx or doi:xxxx

  6. The editor appreciates if authors excerpt information from previously published articles in GLOBAL.

  7. Articles should be submitted in soft files using document format (.doc or .docx) to the Online Submission page.


Online Submitting Manuscript Guidelines and Review Process

The manuscript text must be submitted by one of two systems (second procedure will be preferred):

  1. Submitting document should be done by Online Submission System in the GLOBAL E-Journal portal HERE.

  2. First, the author should register as an author or reviewer (checking role as author or reviewer) in the “Register” or HERE.

  3. After registration completed, log in as an author, click in “New Submission”. The article submits stage consist five stages, such as: (1) Start, (2) Upload Submission, (3) Enter Metadata, (4) Upload Supplementary Files, (5) Confirmation.

  4. In the “Start” column, chose Journal Section (Full Article), check all the checklists.

  5. In the “Upload Submission” column, upload the manuscript files at MSWord format in this column.

  6. In the “Enter Metadata” column, fill out all the author data and affiliation. Following the Journal Title, Abstract, and Indexing Keywords.

  7. In the “Upload Supplementary Files” column, allowed to upload supplementary data file or the statement letter or other else.

  8. In the “Confirmation” column, if all the data that you enter were right, then click “Finish Submission”.

  9. If the author has difficulties in the submitting process via the online system, please contact GLOBAL Editorial team at [email protected]

GLOBAL Journal uses four steps of reviewing process:

  1. The Editor in-Chief will make an initial screening of the paper submitted in order to determine if it suitable with the scope and the aims of the journal.

  2. The submission received will be checked with the anti-plagiarism software before it will undergo a double-blind pee reviewing process. The manuscript should not precede 20% of similarities. If the report indicates suspicious, the paper will be rejected, else will follow the next stage.

  3. The paper is double-blind peer reviewed by the members of Editorial Board, in accordance with the area of research indicated by the GLOBAL Classification specified by the author in its paper.

  4. The final decision is made by the Editor in-Chief based on the recommendations and comments of the reviewers. The Editor in-Chief decides whether the paper should be either accepted as it is, revised (with minor or major corrections) or rejected. Any changes affecting the substace of the text will, of course, only be made in an agreement with the author.

The review process usually takes around 4 to 5 weeks but sometimes, due to the number of papers and the complexity of research submitted, it could be up to 8 weeks.
